Southern Regional Fishing Clinic Tour 2008

   

Recfishwest recently completed the Southern Regional Fishing Clinic Tour.  The Tour commenced on Tuesday 28th April with clinics held in Esperance, Albany, Manjimup, Harvey and ending in Waroona on Tuesday 6th May 2008.

The clinics were held in 5 regional towns and were attended by just over 500 school children through school fishing clinics.  Recfishwest’s Fish for Today for Tomorrow message, the SunSmart message was presented as well as the Addicted to Fishing Not Drugs message, general promotion of care and respect for the marine and coastal environment and proper fish handling.

Recfishwest is able to take this very popular fishing clinic program to all parts of Western Australia through funding and support provided by our long standing partnership with Healthway in promoting the SunSmart message and the Recreational Fishing Community Grants Programme for our Addicted to Fishing not Drugs initiative.
